McLennan Community College Course Structure Guide Face-to-Face-A course in which at least 85% of the instructional content/curriculum is delivered face-to-face. The course uses online tools and resources to expand learning beyond the face-to-face classroom. The LMS is used as an enhancement, not as the main delivery system for the course. If Zoom is used outside of normal class meeting times, the instructor needs to allow for flexibility to meet diverse student schedules. Blended-A course in which 50-84% of the instructional content/curriculum is delivered online asynchronously. Mandatory face-to-face sessions may total no more than 50% of the instruction time; this includes synchronously proctored exams. In this method, online synchronous tools (i.e. Zoom) would not be used to deliver instruction; all synchronous instruction would occur face-to-face Online-A course in which 85-100% of the instructional content/curriculum is delivered online asynchronously; mandatory synchronous sessions may total no more than 15% of the instruction time, this includes synchronously proctored exams. Hyflex-A course in which the material is available both synchronously and asynchronously at all times. Students have the option to choose when and where they want to engage with the learning materials. Mandatory synchronous or asynchronous meetings cannot be required.
